Emmett Technique
Emmett Technique is a unique body therapy technique created by Ross Emmett.
Emmett Technique involves application of light pressure point holds, flicks and slides at particular points and in sequences that enables gentle physical release of muscle groups. The client is assessed before, during and after treatment.
Changes due to Emmett Technique treatment are often instantaneous, with the client feeling a positive difference in their presenting condition before they leave the clinic.
Emmett Technique may be used as an effective therapy on its own, or can be used as an effective adjunct to enhance the outcome of other types of muscle release and neuro-musculoskeletal therapy.
Donal Campbell, therapist at Bowen Belfast, was the first qualified Emmett Technique practitioner in Northern Ireland, and is currently one of only two fully qualified Emmett Technique practioners in Ireland. Donal is an Emm-Tech tutor, providing training in this muscle release therapy for non-therapists who wish to work with friends and family, or as a taster for therapists considering practitioner training in the Emmett Technique.
